Omu Axiu is located in Orroli, is a typical, old country house, covering an area of more than 1200 sq. m.. The house has been in the Vargiu family since 1500 and today has been transformed into a fascinating ethnographical and embroidery museum.
The museum recreates scenes from the past , so that the visitors will pass from room with farming tools, to the rooms with oven for baking bread or to the cellar where they can find cannonau-wine and a storeroom with cold meats and cheese. The restaurant is located inside and outside on the porch which looks on the courtyard and Lunch and dinner are served by waitresses in traditional costumes. The kitchen is one of the highlights and the cooking ingredients are all prepared according ancient customs. Omuaxiu offers visitors the chance to stay in its nearby small hotel.
